You can expect these tasks:

• Assists the team with budget planning
  
• Configuration of enterprise solutions in the area of network & security
  

• Support in the development of a group-wide network strategy based on the OneIT goals
  

• Support in project work for the further development of the network & IT security infrastructure
  
• Assumption of subproject manager tasks
  
• Compliance with the requirements for the use of the service management tool and change management board
  

• Administration of the network & security system landscape
  
• Implementation, commissioning and maintenance of solutions according to specifications
  
• Configuration of complex infrastructures
  
• Technical advice to the specialist departments
  
• Structured, cost- and performance-conscious selection of products and service providers
  
• Control of external service providers within the framework of service and escalation management
  
• Evaluation of savings opportunities and optimization possibilities in the area of responsibility
  
• Assistance with maintenance work and 2nd / 3rd level support
  
• Integration of 3rd party manufacturers in problem analyses including escalation management
  
• Independent planning, implementation and monitoring of system updates (updates, upgrades, minor/major changes, SW/HW rule replacements/updates, etc.)
  
• Responsible for the complete creation/continuation and updating of documentation, instructions and operating manuals across all sites
  
• Evaluation of new techniques
  
• System development of existing standard hardware and software products
  
• Responsible for the sustainable operation of the group-wide (AUNDE, ISRINGHAUSEN, FEHRER) network infrastructure
  
• Assumption of service ownership for one or more services in the area of responsibility
  

What you bring along:

• Successfully completed degree in computer science or comparable training in the IT environment
• At least 5 years of professional experience in the field of network engineering and security

• Communication skills in German and English

  - Analysis and evaluation of user requirements and realization in the product
  - Switching / Routing (OSPF, LWL, WAN, LAN, WLAN)

  - Manufacturer specific knowledge (Fortinet, Extreme Networks, Cisco)
